I am going to start sharing a little behind the scenes as I write and arrange the music. Here is my 8 step process I go through from beginning to end with an original song.
- Step One: Brainstorm – Main Message, write a story
- Step Two: Begin writing – Lyrics, Melody, Harmony – Rough Drafts to Polished
- Step Three: Write Sheet Music – From lead sheet to full sheet music in MuseScore Program
- Step Four: Practice the Song – Use vocal exercises and then other polishing techniques within song
- Step Five: Record the Song – Instrumentals then vocals using Cakewalk
- Step Six: Polish the Recording – Mixing, Editing, Balancing, Mastering
- Step Seven: Film a Music Video – Plan and film the music video
- Step Eight: Put everything together – Polish the Music Video and add MP3 all together in Vegas Movie Studio
