I have been wanting to arrange more of the newly added LDS hymns and this was one that someone in a comment from another video had recommended I do, this and Gethsemane. I finally was able to do them both! This version of the song sort of embraces this classic jazz/early broadway sort of feel from the time-period that it was written, in 1905. The lyrics themselves though, have this deeper meaning that touches my heart. I find it especially meaningful to apply it to the loss of a loved one, in my case, thinking about my two boys who have passed away and how the Savior has them and really… all of us.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
