I Stand All Amazed is the “suggested song” for the New Testament lesson “Not My Will, but Thine, Be Done” studying Luke 22; John 18 and can be found in the LDS Hymnbook.
In the Come Follow Me manual it says:
“There were only three mortal witnesses to Jesus Christ’s suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane—and they slept through much of it. In that garden and later on the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the sins, pains, and sufferings of every person who ever lived, although almost no one alive at that time knew what was happening. Eternity’s most important events often pass without much worldly attention. But God the Father knew….While we were not there to witness this act of selflessness and submission, we are witnesses of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Every time we repent and receive forgiveness of our sins, every time we feel the Savior’s strengthening power, we can testify of the reality of what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane.”

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
What joy we can receive from repenting, finding strength in Jesus and testifying of him! Truly, we can have peace that surpasses worldly understanding. Sometimes, while praying, I will use the phrase, “Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for (_____) through the atonement of Jesus Christ, my Lord.” When I use Jesus’s name in prayer, my prayers seem to have a bit more power; and I am exercising more faith, I believe, when expressing my faith that it is through him, in his name, and by his grace that I can be forgiven and made whole.

I love it when it works out for me to watch your video just before beginning to study the lesson. That happened just now. What a perfect, peaceful introduction to these sacred scriptures. Thank you, Marilee.
