Happy Easter! – He is Risen! – He kept his promise!

I am struck by the humility of Jesus Christ in condescending below all to suffer for our sins, pains and afflictions in the garden of gethsemane, then to continued to suffer on the cross, die and take up his own life again so that he might be the perfect Healer, Redeemer and Savior for each one of us.
The Come Follow Me Manual this week talks about how God wants to give us the riches of eternity. This must be a central reason for why Jesus Christ was willing to go through this horrific experience. It makes me think of the title of the new hymn “Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus” (newly added LDS Hymn).
Doctrine and Covenants 38:3939 And if ye seek the riches which it is the will of the Father to give unto you, ye shall be the richest of all people, for ye shall have the riches of eternity; and it must needs be that the riches of the earth are mine to give; but beware of pride, lest ye become as the Nephites of old.
