Hello! This week I created a beautiful, yet simple arrangement of My Heavenly Father Loves Me as a lyric video. My Heavenly Father Loves Me is a song from the LDS Children’s Songbook and was one of the suggested songs for this week’s Come Follow Me Book of Mormon lesson.
The section of the lesson that suggests this song, references Alma 30:44 – But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.
The manual then discusses ways we can teach these principles to children.
- Alma talked about how things in the sky and on the earth testify that God lives. If possible, take a walk outside with your children or stand at a window as you read Alma 30:44. Ask them to point out things they see that help them know that God is real and that He loves them. They could also draw pictures of things they discover.
- While you and your children sing “My Heavenly Father Loves Me” (Children’s Songbook, 228–29), pass around a ball or other object. Periodically stop the music and ask the child holding the object to share one thing Heavenly Father created that he or she is grateful for.
There is so much beauty and order in the universe, including our own human race and all the animals and plant life! I have a hard time believing it was all by chance. I choose to believe in God. To me, there is too much evidence not to. 🙂

Beautiful arrangement, Marilee! And I agree with you: there is too much evidence to not believe in God.
