As I ponder My Eternal Value – Original Hymn

As I Ponder My Eternal Value by Marilee Kay

Verse 1: As I ponder my eternal value, help me feel the worth of my soul. Father, Thou hast blessed me with Thy light, and Thy Son can make me whole. As I think about my great potential and my spirit’s divinity, let me trust in Thy redeeming plan, to live with Thee, eternally.

Verse 2: As I view a person rich or poor, maybe a stranger or a friend; I’ll remember each one’s worth is equal, beyond measure, without end. When my heart is filled to over-flowing, for all Thy gifts bestowed in full; I can see the beauty Thou canst give to every faithful, wondrous soul.

Verse 3: As Thy Spirit prompts me where to serve, help me expand my narrow view. Let my mind be filled with Thy compassion, and pure thoughts of virtue. Let the doctrine of my Savior’s gospel, gently distill upon me now. Let me minister where Thou wilt lead. Father, as I pray, this I avow.

As I Ponder My Eternal Value – Lyrics

This was my first attempt at composing a hymn. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be, but it came together and I am really happy with it. I will write more about the background of this composition in next week’s post.
Talk to you then! Marilee

Another gem! I love the style. Definitely fits the word “hymn.” Perfect message. Thanks, as always, for sharing.
