Remember Him – Christmas Song

This song came about because of an invitation to sing at my Relief Society Activity at Church. I was told the night would be about how we can remember to bring Jesus Christ more prominently into our Holiday Season…in preparation for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The person who was organizing the activity asked me to find a song that would fit the theme. She said “I don’t know if you can find a song that is exactly about that topic, but whatever you find, I’m sure will work.”

As I thought about what I could sing, I realized that maybe I could write a song that would be exactly about the topic of bringing Jesus into the Holidays. So with that new purpose in mind, I excitedly went to work. Through working and re-working it, the song eventually evolved to what it is and I am pleased with the result. I performed it on November 10 at our Relief Society gathering and it fit right in with the beautiful spirit, testimonies, stories, crafting and song that was already a part of the evening.

Creating this song and music video has already affected my intention and feelings about this holiday and a few times, even my behavior. I hope it helps bring others closer to Christ. Thank you for listening and sharing!
