Come unto Jesus

Here is a piano arrangement of Come unto Jesus” as found in the LDS Hymnbook; which is the suggested song for this week’s  Come Follow Me lesson on Hosea and Joel. One of the beautiful scriptures from this section that goes well with this hymn is Joel 2:13; “Turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness.”

  • Hosea 14:4  “I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.”
  • Joel 3:16 …”the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”

“Come unto Jesus”, references it’s lyrics from the following scriptures:

    • Matthew 11:28–30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
    • 2 Nephi 26:33 33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.
