President Russell M. Nelson was a beloved prophet and leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who possessed a huge and tender heart. He wrote the lyrics for the hymn “Our Prayer to Thee,” which was included in the new LDS hymnbook, before he passed away in September 2025. His tenderness, testimony, and humility are deeply felt within the lyrics of this new hymn.
I have been wanting to arrange more of the newly added LDS hymns and this was one that someone in a comment from another video had recommended I do, this and Gethsemane. I finally was able to do them both!
Amazing Grace has been added to the new LDS hymnbook! Yay. I remember that the first time we sang it in my ward in sacrament meeting about 6 months ago, it was a powerful experience. Everyone already knew the hymn well and we just sang it out. It is a powerful song.
