I have been wanting to arrange more of the newly added LDS hymns and this was one that someone in a comment from another video had recommended I do, this and Gethsemane. I finally was able to do them both!

I am hoping the song will speak for itself. But in writing it, I tried to inspire action on the topic that I was asked to write about…”How can we come to know Jesus Christ in the scriptures so that one day, when he comes again, we will actually know him and have a close relationship with him?”

Upon the Cross of Calvary is the suggested song for the New Testament lesson “It Is Finished” studying the crucifixion of Jesus as recorded in Matthew 27; Mark 15; Luke 23; John 19 and can be found in the LDS Hymnbook. It is one of the hymns that is sung by the congregation to prepare for the most sacred part of the Sunday meeting; the partaking of the sacrament in remembrance of Jesus Christ.
