My husband and I really enjoyed October 2025 General Conference. As I watched the Saturday session, I was impacted by so many messages.
Songwriting is the act of baring one's soul to another in the form of words and music.

Amazing Grace has been added to the new LDS hymnbook! Yay. I remember that the first time we sang it in my ward in sacrament meeting about 6 months ago, it was a powerful experience. Everyone already knew the hymn well and we just sang it out. It is a powerful song.

Today I want to share a song I worked on with a family friend. Korene reached out to me this summer with a few songs she had written and hired me to help her work on them and write a piano accompaniment for them so she could submit the songs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I am hoping the song will speak for itself. But in writing it, I tried to inspire action on the topic that I was asked to write about…”How can we come to know Jesus Christ in the scriptures so that one day, when he comes again, we will actually know him and have a close relationship with him?”

This arrangement of “Baptism” is a beautiful adult/child duet with Marilee & Blake Roberts, recorded Jan 2023. This song is a suggested song for the Come Follow Me Lesson: June 23–29: “Worth … the Riches of the Whole Earth”

This video is an instrumental lyric video of the song “Shine On” from the LDS Children’s Songbook. This song talks about allowing the light of Jesus Christ to shine through us everyday, just as the sun rises each day.

I Stand All Amazed Blog I Stand All Amazed on YouTube Here is the sheet music for this arrangement: I Stand All Amazed Sheet Music D&C 45: 1-5 2 And again I say, hearken unto my voice, lest death shall overtake you; in

I am struck by the humility of Jesus Christ in condescending below all to suffer for our sins, pains and afflictions in the garden of gethsemane, then to continued to suffer on the cross, die and take up his own life again so that he might be the perfect Healer, Redeemer and Savior for each one of us.

I love how this song talks about God’s creations in the first verse, which makes me think of the circle of life with all plant, animal and human life. In the second verse it then testifies that “on a golden springtime, Jesus Christ awoke”. Wow! This is the best news in the history of all news. This is the pinnacle on which all of Christianity stands.

A collection of hymns and primary songs for Easter. Thanks to RD Parsons who played guitar on “It is Well with My Soul”, Kevin Forbush’s guitar arrangement of “I Love to See the Temple” and Paige Vogt playing violin on “Come, Ye Children of the Lord”.
